JAE—short for Joseph Aloysius Eagan III, though most know him simply as Joe—has been a Union carpenter for over 20 years. His journey into fine furniture making began as a basement hobby, sparked by a deep appreciation for discarded wood salvaged from job sites. What started as curiosity evolved into a disciplined craft.

Joe has developed a distinctive, intuitive approach to furniture making. He allows the natural grain, movement, and unique characteristics of each slab of high-quality wood to guide the form and function of the finished piece. Rather than relying on molds or templates, Joe creates each piece entirely by hand, responding to the material itself.
